As opposed to last assignment, I had too many choices for this theme. Seriously, it is always loud around here. Inside and outside. There are a ton of kids in our neighborhood, and as soon as I go out to get the mail, the kids come running from everywhere to play with my little girl. She is like a magnet! Today, I went out with a new little bucket I got at Target and two cheap-o paint brushes. With a little water, I kept the kids entertained for an hour "painting" sidewalks and rocks and they kept my little girl happy. I just sat on the porch and watched. I eventually grabbed the camera to practice some more. These two neighborhood girls are over often. And as much as I like them, they never. shut. up. One of them talks so fast, I can't make out what she is saying sometimes.
In other news, I feel like some of the instructions from this class finally clicked today. I am still not sure if I'm doing it all right, but I wasn't just spinning the dial anymore. I definitely had some method to getting the right exposure and focus, although I am hesitant to say that I understand it. So far, it's working.... and much more enjoyable than before.
