Theme: Light
We were supposed to play with back lighting and our light sensor. I think. I just know that my little point-and-shoot isn't that fancy, and the weather didn't really provide much light either. So I did what I could and came up with this:
My girl putting on sun glasses when the sun peeked out for a little bit in the evening. The composition is nothing special--that I admit.
I really like that I caught a flare in the bottom corner of the photo. I've loved those ever since watching the TV show Firefly and knowing they worked extra hard in getting them since in film school you learn how to NOT get them in your lens. They're pretty cool to me.
I did try to back-light my husband while he was outside with us, and he started laughing. I asked him why. And he said, "You have to TRY to back-light me?" And then I had to laugh too. He has this innate ability to talk to me while putting a light fixture, preferably a bare bulb or the sun if possible, right to the immediate side of his head by his eyes. I listen to him nicely while looking at him; eventually I have to ask him to move so my retina will no longer be burned alive. He's much better at it, but he still does it on occasion. I just smile a certain smile and he moves. Ah, marriage....
