Photo Class: Day 2

Theme: New

We are dog sitting, and my daughter thinks we have a brand new pet. His name is Cody, so I am hearing "Co-eee! Co-eee!" all day. This is her sitting in her booster seat, done eating lunch (see the corn kernel on her chin?). She also had ham, which is a NEW food for her, one that she has refused up until 2 days go.

I wanted to take a picture of our new flowers in the backyard, but then this happened:

WHAT? Snow in April? I know it happens, but still. It disappoints me and I have to agree with a classmate that posted snow as "old" (because the weather is getting old). But I did take this in manual (and while it was still snowing) and was rather proud that it was in focus, so I had to share anyway. ;) Isn't it amazing that delicate flowers decide to bloom when the weather becomes so volatile?

PS: My attempts at getting any pictures of my daughter and the "new" pet went something like this:
Now I know why I'm not starting with moving objects. ;)

  1. I was so mad to see it snowing today too! This weather needs to figure out a plan and stick with it. Love the snow covered flower-perfect representation of April weather. Great job getting into manual!!

  2. I love all three pictures! :) I was so depressed by the snow (and Kenzie having an ear infection!) that I didn't even take my "new" picture today. I'll do it tomorrow...
