I took my little one outside before we hopped in the car for errands this morning. You would have thought she'd never seen the light of day before. She was a mad blur of one activity or another, all the while carting around her "Olivia" doll, calling it a bunny pig. I played with my manual settings as best I could, but this was the only shot worth sharing. Not exactly a good shot, but not terrible either. It seems to tell the story of her new enjoyment of sitting on our porch step and kicking her legs.

I also think that I need to review the notes or something..or stick to non-moving objects. I have found myself, more than once, just spinning my dial around adjusting one setting or another until the lighting is right.... and I know that means I've forgotten what all the ISO, f-stop, etc. stuff means. Sometimes I take a shot in auto to see what the settings are there, and then try to recreate it in manual. I am sure that is learning the hard way what to do. :-(
I'm having the same issues with forgetting what everything means! I put my settings in and everything looked horrible! I had to use auto most of the time I took photos today. I have one look that seems to work but besides that I don't know what to do. And catching movement is not fun. I think I'm going to keep it in auto and work on finding my style as far as zooming and angles and being artistic and THEN I can work more on manual mode. We'll see.
